OBSERVERS

Observers (or section marshals) are an important part of Sporting trials.

Every one is welcome to come along to one of our events and have a go at Observing with one of our Observers.

Their job is to:

1:     Let the competitors know when to enter a section.

2 :   Most importantly mark down the scores of the competitors.

3:     Ensure the bouncers remain within the confines of the cars while competing in a section as mentioned in the rule book.

4:    Stop competitors from entering a section if it is unsafe i.e. spectators on the course.

At least one Observer is required for each section. Often the children of the parents competing do the Observing so the whole family can be involved in the sport  making for a great family day out.

Pictured below is Shaun Marshall observing on a section. Notice the score board to write the scores down of each competitor as they complete the section.
